Meet Raphael A. Tramble, LMSW-C
Hello, and thank you for visiting Keys of Empowerment Counseling LLC.
My name is Raphael Antonio Tramble, and I am a Licensed Clinical Master Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges while building stronger mental and emotional well-being.
About Raphael A. Tramble, LMSW-C
Founder, Keys of Empowerment Counseling
Raphael A. Tramble was born and raised on the west side of Detroit, a community that instilled in him the values of resilience, service, and looking out for others. Growing up in Detroit exposed him to people from many different walks of life and helped him develop an early understanding that everyone carries experiences and challenges that are not always visible on the surface.
By the age of 12, Raphael had already developed a strong interest in understanding people and their life experiences. Known among peers and family as someone who was naturally nonjudgmental, patient, and willing to listen, he often found himself supporting others through difficult moments. This early curiosity about human behavior and emotional well-being would later grow into a lifelong passion for mental health and helping others navigate life’s pressures.
Raphael attended and graduated from Loyola High School of Detroit (Class of 2010), where the school’s guiding motto—“Men for Others”—played a meaningful role in shaping his outlook on service and responsibility. The principle emphasizes using one’s strengths to uplift and support others, particularly during times when individuals may feel overwhelmed or alone. This philosophy continues to influence Raphael’s work today, especially in his commitment to supporting individuals who feel the weight of life’s responsibilities without adequate support.
He continued his academic journey at Wayne State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2015 followed by his Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2016. His education provided a strong clinical foundation in mental health assessment, psychotherapy, and trauma-informed care while deepening his understanding of the complex relationship between emotional health, life stressors, and relationships.
With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, Raphael has worked with diverse populations across community mental health settings and private practice. His clinical experience includes supporting individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship conflict, stress, and major life transitions.
Today, Raphael is the founder of Keys of Empowerment Counseling LLC, where he works with teens (ages 14–17), adults, couples, and families who are seeking clarity, emotional strength, and healthier ways to navigate life’s challenges.
Clients often describe Raphael’s therapeutic style as direct, supportive, and empowering. His approach blends professional clinical expertise with a genuine desire to help individuals better understand themselves and their relationships.
Why Keys of Empowerment Counseling Was Created
Keys of Empowerment Counseling was created from a simple belief: everyone deserves a space where they can be heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
Growing up on Detroit’s west side, Raphael saw firsthand how many people carry heavy emotional responsibilities while still trying to show up for their families, careers, and communities. Many individuals feel pressure to remain strong for others even when they themselves are struggling internally.
Over time, Raphael recognized that many people simply need a safe place to pause, reflect, and gain tools for navigating life’s challenges in healthier ways.
His experiences also revealed that many men struggle silently with stress, expectations, and emotional pressure related to work, relationships, and family responsibilities. These pressures often go unspoken, yet they can deeply affect mental health and relationships.
At the same time, Raphael has worked with many individuals and couples navigating the emotional transition into parenthood. Postpartum depression and the adjustment to becoming parents can place significant strain on both individuals and relationships, and many families need guidance on how to support one another during this stage.
Keys of Empowerment Counseling was created to provide a space where individuals, couples, and families can develop greater self-understanding, strengthen relationships, and build practical strategies to manage life’s pressures more effectively.
What It’s Like to Work With Raphael
Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, especially when discussing personal challenges or emotions that may have been difficult to share with others.
Raphael strives to create an environment where clients feel comfortable, respected, and understood from the very first conversation.
His approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and practical. Rather than simply telling clients what to do, Raphael works alongside them to explore their experiences, identify patterns, and develop strategies that lead to meaningful change.
Clients often describe Raphael’s style as honest, direct, and compassionate. Sessions are designed to help individuals not only talk about their challenges but also gain practical insight and tools they can apply in everyday life.
Whether working with teens, adults, couples, or families, Raphael focuses on strengthening communication, emotional awareness, and problem-solving skills that help clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
